Establishing in 1946 by Mr H.H.W. Cannell, Cannells soon became the forerunner of Butchers shops in Diss, by having the first self contained freezer unit installed in the premises, In 1970 Cyril joined Cannells, building a team of master butchers, serving Diss and the surrounding villages.

Leading up to Mr Cannell's retirement in 1985, Cyril and his Family took over Cannells, bringing the butcher's shop into the 21st Century with a broad wide range of products and using the latest technology, giving the customers accurate information regarding their produce.

In 2007, Cyril recently celebrated 37 years of butchery at Cannells, and is still providing high quality meat to East Anglia.
